YUMMY AND THICK SPINACH AND BANANA GREEN SMOOTHIE


Today we will make the best tasting banana and spinach smoothie.This smoothie is so creamy,yummy and thick.And so tasty and sweet of course.It is really healthy.The perfect way to have some greens.They are really important for our health.Especially the spinach.

It is packed with so much health benefits.Including Iron,Magnesium and many,many others healthy vitamins and minerals.In this recipe I am using regular spinach but you can try to make it with baby spinach.The result will be the same.I also think,that if you do not want to use spinach,another good choice is add fresh kale to the smoothie.It will be great.

This green smoothie is sugar-free.The sweetness comes from the ripe banana which is sweeter than the fresh one.Make sure to use ripe bananas,if you want the smoothie sweeter.If not,use the fresh type.

Another option to add sweetness to this creamy-dreamy smoothie is to add some powdered or liquid stevia or other sweetener of your choice.Also good choices are the raw honey,natural maple syrup or raw agave nectar.All of these are completely natural and are really healthy and good for you.I like this smoothie not so sweet,so I did not add any additional sweeteners.They are optional,of course.

To thicken this smoothie,I used frozen ripe frozen bananas and few ice cubes.Just peel and cut your ripe bananas,place them in a plastic bag and put in the freezer for at least 2-3 hours or overnight.In this way,they will add creamier and yummier texture to this delicious green smoothie.The ice cubes are optional,but if you like milkshake consistency of your smoothie,I recommend you to add them.Trust me,it will be better.

For my liquid in this creaminess,I used low-fat cow milk.But any other type of milk like plant-based almond,cashew,coconut or soy milk will work well too for this tasty recipe.Feel free to use any milk.For the vegan option,I recommend you to use almond milk.The taste in combination with banana is absolutely amazing.And I think that the almond milk is creamier than the other types of milk.And will add some more creaminess.Yummy!

I really enjoy this smoothie at my healthy breakfast almost every morning.Or after my workout or running.It will boost your energy and will satisfy your hunger cravings for something sweet,because it’s sweet and full with fibres.You can enjoy it between your meals as one healthy and tasty snack.

To make this smoothie more filling and to add some protein boost to it,you can add some whey or plant-based protein powder.In this way you will have one vitamin-protein bomb.Good flavors are vanilla or cookies and cream,but any other flavor like chocolate or peanut butter are good for it.Another good option for better taste is to add my homemade peanut butter  to it.



I promise you,that you will be amazed of this combination.The taste and flavor are really rich and delicious.The peanut butter and banana is one of the best combinations ever.

Ingredients
  1. 1 large or two small size ripe bananas (peeled,chopped and frozen)
  2. 2 handfuls baby or regular spinach
  3. 1 cup milk of your choice (cow,almond,cashew,soy,coconut and etc.)
  4. 1 cup ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
  1. The first step of making this yummy smoothie is to prepare our ingredients.
  2. Peel and cut the ripe banana into pieces.Put it in a plastic bag or something like that and put it in the freezer for at least 2 hours.Or overnight.
  3. Wash and clean the spinach.
  4. Put the frozen banana with the washed spinach in a high speed blender.
  5. Add the milk of your choice and the ice cubes.
  6. Blend everything together for about 1 minutes,until you reach the desired consistency.
  7. Pout the ready green smoothie in to large cup or glass,serve and enjoy the yummy taste.
Notes
  1. You can add other greens to this creamy smoothie like kale.It will be also good and healthy.
